Articles of Agreement

ARTICLE NO. 1

 

This association shall be an auxiliary unit of the Rocky Springs Missionary Baptist Church of Dialville, Texas.  It shall be operated by the same scriptural authority by which other mission and auxiliary work is done.

ARTICLE NO. 2- PURPOSE

 

Of authorized mission projects.  The aims are as follows:

  • To assist financially in the buying of lands on which to construct church buildings in which to worship, said lands may include a parsonage if it is included in the same deed.
  • To assist financially in erecting new buildings in which to worship.
  • To assist in the buying or remodeling old buildings for worship purposes.
  • To allow an opportunity for men and women to share in the rewards of mission work.

    ARTICLE NO. 3- MEMBERSHIP

     

  • "...Let him that heareth say come, and whosoever will..."
  • Members will be received by completing a registration card which gives the name, address, and place of church membership.  Permanent files will be kept at the sponsoring church.
  • Members in this association shall be permanent unless otherwise requested by the individual member.

    ARTICLE NO. 4- OFFICERS

     

  • A secretary treasurer and director shall be selected by the sponsoring church.
  • An advisory council shall consist of one vote from each participating church by mail.  The vote shall be cast on a ballot mailed out, which shall report the qualified request made for the designated quarter.
  • The advisory council may select officers which it feels necessary.  The election of such officers must be approved by the sponsoring church.

    ARTICLE NO. 5- COMMITTEES

     

  • Committees on research may be sent out upon request of the advisory council.
  • Committees may be sent out by the advisory council to do whatever might deem necessary.
  • All committees shall be subject to the approval of the sponsoring church.

    ARTICLE NO. 6- MEETINGS

     

    Special meeting may be called by the sponsoring church at any time when a project becomes urgent.

     

    ARTICLE NO. 7- RECEIPTS AND DESBURSEMENTS

     

  • The secretary shall keep a permanent file of all members, their commitments, and participation.  This file is to be made available for inspection by the advisory council and the sponsoring church.
  • Reports of progress will be made public for promotional aid and for personal protection.
  • No part of the net earnings and/or donations of Texas Mission Development shall insure to the benefit of or be distributable to, its members, trustees, officers, or other private person, and no substantial part of the activities and/or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and intervene, any political campaign on behalf of any provision of these articles the association shall not carry association exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or any corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.)
